Hands Across The Bridge

The country’s 250^th anniversary offers us an opportunity to begin healing some of the divisions which have surfaced in recent years.  How that will fully unroll has yet to be seen, but the Phoenixville Area Social Concerns Committee asks you to join us in a moment of commitment to bringing it about.

 We are inviting people from throughout the community to gather along the Martin Luther King, Jr. Bridge – the “Low Bridge” on Main St. – and up the sidewalk to Andre Thornton Park at 2:00 on the afternoon of Sunday, July 5^th and to join hands from one end to the other.  At 2:15 there will be a minute of silence, then the singing of “America the Beautiful”.  Following that, we would go our various ways, reminded of the unseen connections that join us.

Please do three things about this today:

1)      Put the “Hands across the Bridge” on your calendar.

2)      Invite someone to attend it with you.
